1. Program Specification

Brief outline

International Business aims at cultivating interdisciplinary and application-oriented talents who are oriented to the international market, with a broad vision, a solid foundation of international business theory, practice and international business law, and can skillfully apply international regulations and foreign languages to carry out business activities. This major aims at enabling students to engage in practical business, business activity planning, international business management, legal consulting, policy research and other work in multinational companies, foreign-related economic and trade departments, foreign-funded enterprises and government agencies.


Educational aims

This major aims to enables students be able to work in international organizations, government departments, multinational companies, foreign-related enterprises and scientific research institutes, etc.

Goal 1: Have strong sense of social responsibility and correct values; be able to fully understand the international economic situation, economic and trade policies of various countries; have forward-looking thinking on the development trend of global market, technology and business model;

Course

This major focus more about international business management and large data, cross fusion of emerging disciplines such as artificial intelligence. This major pay attention to case teaching, emphasis on cultivating students' innovation ability and the ability to solve practical problems. Through the study of the basic theories and knowledge of management and economics, as well as the professional quality training of international business, help students master the analytical methods and skills in the fields of multinational enterprise operation management and international business planning, and have the basic ability to analyze and solve problems.

Admission requirements

Students who apply for undergraduate programs taught in English shall have a minimum IELTS 6.0, or a minimum TOEFL 75, or have passed the English entrance test organized by our university.

Requirements for graduation(Credit requirements, thesis requirements, Chinese proficiency requirements: English undergraduate program must have achieved HSK4, English graduate program must have achieved HSK3)

Credit Requirements: The standard length of study for this major is 4 years, with a flexible learning period of 3-6 years. Graduation after completing the credits. Students who have completed the required credits and met the graduation requirements will be granted a graduation certificate, among which those who meet the requirements of the state and the university for the awarding of bachelor's degrees will be awarded the bachelor's degree in management.

Thesis requirements: writing the dissertation, including topic selection, proposal report, mid-term examination, thesis defense and other content, should be completed within one year and pass the examination.

Language requirement: HSK level 4 for English undergraduate program.

Curriculum system


Construction of four modules :public courses, general education, professional education, quality development

According to the requirements of HSK (Chinese Language Proficiency Test) for undergraduate students of English programs stipulated in Higher Education Quality Specification for Foreign Students issued by the Ministry of Education (No.50) of the Ministry of Education (2018), credit hours of Chinese comprehensive courses will be added, and the score of HSK Level 4 will be included in the graduation qualification examination. Increase the number and credits of public computer courses; To fine-tune the courses and credits of the math courses in each major to suit the specific requirements of each major.

We will strengthen the construction of the core courses of general education, include "China Overview" into the compulsory courses of general education, and offer other elective courses. Meanwhile, elective courses of communication and innovation and entrepreneurship education are offered to strengthen liberal arts education for international students.

Comprehensive combing of basic subject courses, open subject courses, professional compulsory courses, professional elective courses, carefully condensed professional core courses, expand the depth of the course, standard the international curriculum system, in accordance with international standards to create first-class professional courses.

The practical education module will increase the credits of the second class, encourage students to actively participate in social practice and activities, enhance the practical ability of international students, and exercise students' innovation ability.


Practical courses

(1)Practical teaching system

The practical teaching of international business major includes four modules: experiment (computer) module, practice (practical training) module, paper (design) module and scientific research innovation practice module.

The experimental module includes computer application, ERP, English courses and so on.

Internship (practical training) modules include: military training, professional cognitive learning, entrepreneurship simulation and practice, graduation practice, employment guidance, etc.

Thesis (design) module includes: academic year thesis, graduation thesis.

The modules of scientific research innovation practice include: Extracurricular reading activities, course contests, and business skills contest (mathematical modeling competition, challenge cup venture competition, English competition, etc.), the scientific research training activities (all kinds of students' scientific research innovation subject, academic papers, etc.), campus cultural activities, professional qualification and skills training (including computer grade examination, relevant professional certificate examination, etc.), social practice and social investigation, business practice.
