Completion Ceremony of Seminar on Income Tax Management for Kiribati Organized
On the morning of October 25, the online graduation ceremony of "Seminar on Income Tax Management for Kiribati" sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and co-sponsored by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Jiangxi College of Foreign Trade was held in our college. Vice President Liu Xiaoli attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, Gong Meijun, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Wu Zhaoyang, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics, Wang Shubai, Vice President, staff of the Overseas Student Work Office and all the students of the Kiribati workshop attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the university, Liu Xiaoli congratulated the students who had successfully completed their studies. She said that on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" Initiative, the successful organization of this workshop is of great significance. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the original intention of the Belt and Road Initiative is to learn from the ancient Silk Road, with connectivity as the main line, and strengthen policy communication, facility connectivity, trade facilitation, financial integration and people-to-people communication with other countries. Liu Xiaoli hoped that all the trainees would stick to this original intention, apply the results of this training to their work, especially in the formulation of financial and economic policies and their reform and development work to play a more active role, and work hand in hand with people from all over the world to continue to promote the vigorous development of the "One Belt, One Road" international cooperation.
Ms. ROKOUA TEUNROKO, an official from Kiribati Taxation Bureau, spoke on the line as the representative of the participants of the workshop. She expressed her heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Commerce for providing this valuable learning opportunity, and highly praised the course teaching, faculty strength and excellent organizational ability of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. She said that this workshop has benefited a lot, and she will apply the valuable experience and professional knowledge gained from this study in the future to lay a solid foundation for the future development.
The graduation ceremony was also elaborately designed as a ceremony of awarding graduation certificates, in which Liu Xiaoli awarded graduation certificates to all the participants of the seminar and took group photos in the exciting music of the venue.
The workshop lasted for 14 days, which was tightly focused on the theme of "Income Tax Administration", helping the participants to have a more in-depth understanding of the history and experience of China's income tax development, enhancing their knowledge of income tax administration, and laying a solid foundation for future communication, contact and in-depth cooperation between Kiribati and China in the field of taxation.
