Class of 2023 Master of International Business Program Commencement Ceremony and New Student Orientation Meeting Held

On the morning of October 26, the Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Class of the Ministry of Commerce's Foreign Aid International Business Master's Program and the Entrance Education Conference for New Students, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, was held. Vice President Liu Xiaoli attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, while Dean of Graduate School Luo Shihua, Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges Gong Meijun, Dean of School of International Trade and Economics Wu Zhaoyang, all members of Overseas Student Work Office, and 45 master's degree students from 18 countries and regions attended the ceremony. The event was hosted by Wang Shubai, vice dean of School of International Trade and Economics.

On behalf of the university, Liu Xiaoli expressed her heartfelt congratulations and warm welcome to all the 2023 freshmen trainees who successfully passed the selection and enrolled in JUFE. She introduced the school's long history of running schools and the achievements of foreign aid training programs of the Ministry of Commerce to all the international students. She said that this year is the 10th anniversary of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, and as a firm practitioner of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, the university will continue to adhere to its original intention, strengthen the opening up of education to the outside world, and actively work with the rest of the world for tolerance, mutual appreciation and interoperability. Liu Xiaoli said she hoped that in the next two years, the new students would remember the school motto of "Faith, Sensitivity, Integrity and Perseverance", work hard to learn knowledge and experience, and at the same time gain the sincere friendship between the teachers and students of JUFE and friends from all over the world, so that they could become leaders in their fields after graduation, ambassadors of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, and bridges of young people from all over the world coming to China to study and exchange.

After the Opening Ceremony, the School of International Trade and Economics held a conference on the entrance education for new international students, in which Mr. Xu Tao, counselor of international students, introduced to all the new students the specific requirements of the professional cultivation program, double-selected tutors, opening questions and thesis, and encouraged the new students to get used to the life of studying abroad as soon as possible and devote themselves to their study status. JUFE has been hosting the Foreign Aid Degree Program of the Ministry of Commerce since 2015, and up to now it has completed 6 phases of the Master's Program in International Business (IMIB). At present, there are 120 international students enrolled in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 classes of IMIB Master's Degree Programs under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce.
