China's Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics (JUFE) in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province has successfully held the three days sports meeting - 2020. This time there was a slogan on three days Sports Meeting Sheng ming zai yu yun dong, Yun dong zai yu ji qing which means Life lies in sports, and sports show passion.

On the morning of October 15th, with the sonorous drums, the 40th sports meeting of the Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics was grandly opened. School leaders Prof. Lu Fucai, Prof. Wang Qiao, Prof. Zhu Xiaoli, Prof. Yang Jianlin, Prof. Deng Hui, Prof. Que Shandong, Prof. Ouyang Kang, Prof. Yuan Xiong, Prof. Yuan Honglin, and Prof. Li Chungen attended the opening ceremony. The deans of school-affiliated units and the party secretaries and deputy secretary also attended the opening ceremony.

With the impassioned athlete march, the opening ceremony officially kicked off. The first entry is the national flag team and the athlete's representative team. 24phalanxes, the national flag team's pace energetic, guarding the bright five-star red flag slowly entered the venue. The athletes of each college represent the team with different styles, showing the vitality and wind of youth with their unique posture and style.

After the solemn and inspiring flag-raising ceremony, Prof. Wang Qiao announced the official opening of the 40th sports meeting of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

In the opening speech, University's president Prof. Lu Fucai expressed his warm congratulations on the smooth convening of this sports meeting on behalf of the school; expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the faculty and students, staff, coaches, and athletes. He pointed out that sports are an important way to improve people’s health, satisfying people’s yearning for a better life, and promoting people’s overall an important means of face development.

He further mentioned that the school has always attached importance to the physical education and exercise activities of teachers and students. We responded to the call of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that People’s health is an important symbol of national prosperity” and actively implementing the party's education policy. Lu Fucai hopes that all teachers and students will realize their passion and dreams in sports. I want to pursue competition and transcendence in sports, feel glory and achievements in sports, and make these sports meeting a grand, enthusiastic, exciting, passionate, and energetic sports event!

    After the opening ceremony was successfully concluded, the cheerleaders entered the venue with the passionate and joyful. Their movements were neat and uniform, full of vitality, and full of youthful air. Xi showed a confident style, won warm applause, and opened the prologue of the 40th School Games.

    Due to the rainy weather and the sudden drop in temperature, the school made timely adjustments, changing the oath of coaches and referees, athletes to the form of posting oaths, and changing the time of the opening ceremony compressed by more than half to prevent students from catching a cold in rainy weather.

    In the three days of competition, More than 5,000 students competed in 24 individual events and 23 collective events. On behalf of the Overseas Education School, 40 students from different countries took part and paid homage to the national flag. Students from more than 17 countries including Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Morocco, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Zimbabwe, Liberia, and Ghana took part in the march.
