On the evening of October 16, the School of International Trade and Ecomonics held a double-selection meeting for international student tutors of Grade 2019. Professor Wu Zhaoyang, Dean of the School of International Trade and Economics, Professor Ye Weihua, Dean of the Oversea Education School, Associate Professor Zhang Xifeng, dean of the School of Foreign Languages, and students of Grade 2019 attended the double-selection meeting. The meeting was hosted by vice-president Huang Xianming.

     President Wu Zhaoyang, on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome to 55 international business masters and one doctor from 27 countries to join the big family of the school, and introduced the history of the school as well. At the same time, in his speech, he encouraged everyone to cherish the opportunity to study for a degree, strengthen their academic research practice, cultivate good observation, broaden their horizons; meanwhile, he also wished that the new students would follow the local customs, abide by the laws and disciplines, respect the differences of cultural customs, and achieve "harmony but diversity, seeking common ground while reserving differences"; what’s more, he also hoped the students to be an excellent observer and thinker in learning, think and learn in China with the actual situation in your country, and strengthen cooperation with classmates and teachers. Also, the selection principles of tutors and international project management of our college are explained, and it is indicated that we will build a first-class teaching management team to serve the growth and development of all international friends.

     Dr. Liu Yi, on behalf of the teachers of the school, welcomed the arrival of all the overseas students and introduced his experience in scientific research. He hoped that the overseas students, first of all, should integrate into the local life as soon as possibl; secondly, lay a solid foundation in economics study; thirdly, use their spare time to experience the economic development of China, combine classroom learning with social practice, and make contributions to the construction of the motherland.

     Each tutor of overseas students introduced their own research fields, and according to their own overseas learning experience, put forward pertinent opinions on how to learn, how to choose research direction, and how to deal with the relationship with the tutor, and answered the questions of overseas students. Overseas students have expressed that they will make use of the excellent teaching resources of JUFE to build themselves with the quality of "trust, sensitivity, honesty and perseverance" as a JUFER.
